  • 1 Units in Stock

Colorado suffered devastating floods in September 2013. A Flood Recovery Quilt Project is being coordinated by the Boulder County Commissioner's Office. A quilt will be created with quilt blocks submitted by individuals from across the nation.  A unifying color scheme has been designated based on 13 Robert Kaufman Kona Cotton colors. This bundle contains those 13 colors as Fat Eighths.

The Flood Recovery Quilt that will hang in the Boulder County Courthouse. Participants are being asked to create a block that adheres to the theme “Boulder County Strong and Beautiful”. These blocks can be abstract representations of the theme or more literal representations in the form of paper pieced mountains, animals, trees, etc.

Blocks for the official quilt will be selected from those submitted. The remaining blocks will be pieced to create quilts for individuals and families effected by the flooding. Full participation details available on the Boulder County Collaborative Quilt Project website.
