Inspired by the styles of the early 1950s, this PDF SEWING PATTERN is for a roomy bag combining a practical size and shape with period detailing. The name is inspired by the post war decade that saw the introduction of premium bonds. The bag, which has double handles, can be worn over the shoulder, tucked under the arm. It has a darted front pocket with a flap, and a shaped top inset. It is constructed with box corners to give a wide flat base. The Premium Bond Bag has vintage button trim and an option for an interior patch pocket. It measures approx 17" (43cm) wide x 13" (33cm) high x 5" (13cm)

This PDF pattern has 12 pages – 7 pages including photographs, detailed instructions and illustrations, plus 5 pages of full sized pattern templates which you must print on letter (A4) paper and cut out. As some of the templates are too large to fit on one sheet, you must tape the templates together where shown. Instructions for this are very clear.
