Houndstooth Heritage is a no-bias method for creating a beautiful 56"x64" houndstooth lap quilt. For quilters who are comfortable with bias edges, I have included instructions for an optional tube piecing method I call Houndstooth Magic. This speed method is an option to replace steps 1-6 on Houndstooth Heritage. If using Houndstooth Magic, just pick up on step 7 of Houndstooth Heritage to complete your quilt.
Houndstooth Heritage requires 3 yards of both colors for the quilt top. Using the Houndstooth Magic option, you can create the same quilt top using 2 yards of both color.
Binding requirements: 1/2 yard
Backing requirements: 3.5 yards
