This is a PDF sewing pattern for the Kersey Tye Messenger Bag, a versatile pieced design, which combines1940s-style inventiveness with modern day simplicity and functionality. This style, which comes in two different heights and with long and shorter strap options, is best made in two toning or contrasting fabrics. On the taller version, there is an exterior pocket on the front panel. Instructions are also included for an interior pocket with flap.

The bag’s finished dimensions are: Tall version height 12½ (32cm) width 15” (38cm) or shorter version height 10½ (27cm) width 15” (38cm)

This PDF has 18 pages—10 pages including the cover, general, cutting out and step-by-step instructions, and 8 pattern sheets with the templates, which you must print and cut out. All of the templates are actual size. As many of the templates are too big to fit on one sheet, you must cut out and tape these templates together where shown. Instructions for this are clear.
