Meet Mama Cat and her adorable skirt-dwelling kittens!
Mama Cat loves her babies and takes good care of them. She swaddles the tiniest kitten and dresses the kitten sisters in sweet dresses. Mama Cat keeps her own dress tidy with a pretty and practical apron. If the kittens are feeling shy, they can hide inside their mama's skirts.
I originally made Mama Cat as a toy for my daughter who loved kittens, as well as dressing and undressing dolls, and playing at how a mother cares for her babies. This pattern has room for all of that, and for the maker, it has lots of room to have fun customizing!
The level of difficulty is intermediate. If you've done garment or stuffed animal sewing, you shouldn't have any problems. If you are an adventurous beginner, you'll be OK too!
