Use this pattern to make an elegant kimono-style robe for yourself or as a gift. Includes option to make long (44" from shoulder to hem) or short (33" from shoulder to hem) version.

Amount of fabric needed to make the kimono:
-for the shorter kimono you will need 2.75 yards of 58/60"-wide fabric or 3.5 yards of 44/45"-wide fabric.
-for the longer kimono you will need 3.25 yards of 58/60"-wide fabric or 4.25 yards of 44/45"-wide fabric.

Seam Finishing Techniques: this updated version of the pattern shows how to make the robe using french seam techniques or basic seam finishing techniques. French seams are a couture finishing technique in which you sew each seam twice in order to enclose the seam allowance. This technique works best with thin/lightweight fabrics, such as a silk or light cotton. Basic finishing techniques include pinking, zigzag stitching, or serging,

This pattern has been updated to include:
-both seam finishing techniques
-instructions for a hook loop for hanging your robe
-in-seam belt loops
